System EE Engineer and Chip Architect - Biometric Sensing

We are looking to hire a highly motivated engineer with a passion on technology research and development. Within Artilux's RD team, you will help deliver an ASIC system that powers our next generation of sensor products. You will provide great technical expertise to a group of hardware engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment, with a focus on IC system design and verification. You will own and drive technical projects from the concept/planning stage through execution and closure.


Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Participate the design and validation of complex ASIC systems for our current and future biometric sensing systems. Top-to-bottom design, from architectural decisions down to low level design with an emphasis on creating components as part of a complete optical sensing system
  • Collaborate with IC designers and other systems engineers to design a chip system meeting the needs of all stakeholders
  • Run simulations to validate design. Use a FPGA or a DSP chip to emulate the system and facilitate the IC design. Support test activity, system bring-up & validation in every level
  • Work with x-functional team to ensure the system is properly interfaced with firmware and other system modules
  • Write specifications and datasheet for the designed IC and define test plans 

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Education: PhD or MSEE with 3+ years in related area of expertise
  • Familiarity with customized IC design and verification
  • Familiarity with the signal processing algorithm development
  • Familiarity with RTL level low-power design of digital circuits and signal processing blocks
  • Solid experience with the design and use of FPGA or DSP chip to validate the design ideas
  • Experience in ISP (image signal processing) product design is a strong plus
  • Experience in optical sensing product design is a strong plus
